And My Story Goes Like This…

In my twenties, I took my first yoga class.  It wasn’t until my thirties, that I learned how to practice yoga, and it kindled a flame of curiosity so strong that it led me down the path to teach.  Now in my forties, after years of studying and teaching, I am still in awe of the immensity of wisdom to gain from the practice.  I am forever a yoga student learning about myself, about this life: to reveal that the secret the universe is telling, is in fact, us. Me and You.

My classes are sequenced with vinyasa krama (wise progression). There is attention to alignment of the body, with yoga philosophy woven in to align the mind. Asking the questions and seeking the mystery is what this practice helps me do, and I invite you to do the same: cultivate your inner seer. I welcome practitioners of all levels of experience, ages, backgrounds – celebrating our diversity moves the conversation forward and enriches our growth.

I’ve been fortunate to learn from some amazing teachers. Of particular note, is the incomparable Mandy Grant from whom I developed a true passion for yoga. I feel tremendous gratitude to Amy Ippoliti and The 90 Monkeys School of Yoga Community (now called “Vesselify”) who have provided me with the tools and inspiration to help me define my dharma for the teacher I wish to become. Guiding my philosophy studies, are the pivotal teachings of the scholar Dr. Douglas Brooks in the tradition of Rajanaka, which has greatly influenced my worldview, today.

My training includes 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher certifications, anatomy, kinesiology, Reiki, and hundreds of hours of continued yoga education studies. I teach online, and in the Northern NJ / NY Rockland area at studios and private lessons. Some notable experience include: team yoga teacher for the NY Football Giants and teacher trainer for yoga training programs in Northern NJ.
